Weymouth Man Was Intoxicated During Crash That Killed NH Man, Police Say

A Norfolk County Man was arrested for his part in a rollover crash that ejected a man from the car and killed him, officials say.

Casey W. Kirsch, age 33, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence after he crashed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, throwing his passenger out of the vehicle and inflicting fatal injuries on Sunday, July 23, according to the New Hampshire State Police. 

Police were notified of the crash, which occurred on Interstate 93 South in the town of Sanbornton, New Hampshire, around 1:33 p.m. 

They determined that the Chevrolet was heading southbound when it left the left side of the roadway and moved into the soft shoulder. It then re-entered the highway and rolled over, ejecting the passenger from the vehicle. 

The passenger who died in the crash was identified as John R. Hanna Jr., age 52, of Lancaster, New Hampshire. 

Kirsch was taken to Franklin Hospital to be evaluated. He was later arrested and charged with negligent homicide and aggravated DWI. 

Kirsch is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, July 24.
